An update on Jordan Dizon

Lions linebacker Jordan Dizon told several people he’s out for the year on Saturday evening, but there remains some uncertainty whether the third-year player is right.

A league source tells PFT that Dizon will take an MRI to examine his knee injury, once swelling goes down. (The significant swelling is not a great sign, of course.) The fear is that Dizon suffered a torn ACL and MCL, but we won’t know for sure until the MRI is taken. A torn MCL alone wouldn’t end Dizon’s season.

Dizon was expected to be the team’s backup middle linebacker this year.
