Giants linebacker Chase Blackburn had to be helped to the locker room after suffering an undisclosed right leg injury in the second half of New York’s preseason opener. (It could have been a leg or ankle injury.)
Blackburn was unable to put any weight on his leg, and was eventually carted off the field. He’s a key special teamer and reserve linebacker that can line up at multiple spots.
A significant injury to Blackburn could lead to more snaps for Gerris Wilkinson and Bryan Kehl.
