Saints lose another tailback

With Mike Bell in Philly and Lynell Hamilton on injured reserve, the Saints can ill afford additional serious injuries to their running backs.

On Saturday night, they suffered another one.

P.J. Hill suffered an apparent triceps injury against the Texans, according to Mike Triplett of the New Orleans Times-Picayune. Hill has been waived/injured, and he’ll revert to the team’s IR list if not claimed by another team.

The Saints initially signed Hill as an undrafted free agent in 2009, and he rushed for 128 yards on 26 carries in the preseason. The Redskins cut him in May, and the Saints claimed him off waivers.

The Saints have added DeShawn Wynn to a depth chart that currently features Pierre Thomas, Reggie Bush, Ladell Betts, and Chris Ivory.
