Brian Brohm makes the Bills

Saturday was a day in which the Bills gave up on a failed second round pick in wide receiver James Hardy. But they aren’t ready to give up on one of Green Bay’s failed second round picks.

Quarterback Brian Brohm made the roster, despite some speculation he could get dropped in favor of seventh-round pick Levi Brown.  The Bills also cut promising running back Joique Bell, who figures to land on the practice squad.  So does Brown.

Here’s the full list of releases: center Sean Allen, running back Andre Anderson,
running back Joique Bell, quarterback Levi Brown, guard Kirk Chambers,
defensive end Rashaad Duncan, fullback Rodney Ferguson, center Christian
Gaddis, tight end Andrew George, wide receiver James Hardy, tackle Nick
Hennessey, wide receiver Chad Jackson, cornerback Ellis Lankster, guard
Andre Ramsey, wide receiver Naaman Roosevelt, cornerback Lydell
Sargeant, running back Chad Simpson, guard Jason Watkins, and linebacker
Donovan Woods.

The team also placed safety Jon Corto on the PUP list and waived/injured Derek Schouman.

  1. Brohm had so much talent he was beaten out by a 7th round draft pick in Green Bay(Matt Flynn).
When he played in last year’s exhibitions, Brohm stunk so bad they took him out early so he wouldn’t embarass himself.

  2. His outing against the Lions is what saved him. He played well completing a handful of sharp passes and scrambling for more yards than the RB’s. Before the Lions game he was considered strictly a pocket passer, thats not the case anymore. What also helped him was Levi Brown playing completely like the rookie that he is.
