Eagles cut 11, down to 55

The Philadelphia Eagles are almost -- but not quite -- down to the 53-man roster limit after announcing today that they’ve cut 11 players.

The players released are wide receiver Chad Hall, wide receiver Jordan Norwood, tight end Cornelius Ingram, center A.Q. Shipley, guard Dallas Reynolds, guard Fenuki Tupou, defensive end Eric Moncur, defensive tackle Jeff Owens, linebacker Tracy White, safety Macho Harris and safety Quintin Demps.

Harris has to be considered a major disappointment, considering that he was a Week One starter as a rookie after being drafted in the fifth round last year. Harris moved from safety to cornerback this offseason, and now he’s moving on and moving out of Philadelphia.

The Eagles’ roster is currently at 55, so two more moves will need to be made this afternoon.
