Giants waive more players

Mike Florio has told you that blocking specialist tight end Bear Pascoe was among the Giants’ Saturday cuts. We’ve got more.

Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star Ledger reports that the team has also parted ways with defensive end Tommie Hill, tight end Scott Chandler, wide receiver Tim Brown, offensive tackle Dennis Landolt, safety John Busing, defensive tackle Dwayne Hendricks, center Jim Cordle, and quarterback Dominic Randolph.

Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune has independently reported that undrafted rookie defensive tackle Nate Collins is also among the Giants’ cuts. ESPN’s Adam Schefter adds to the list running back Gartrell Johnson, who became expendable Saturday when the team acquired the more versatile Darius Reynaud.

The Pascoe and Chandler moves leave the Giants with just two tight ends. Beckum is oft-injured and a liability as a blocker, so expect the team to scour the waiver wire for a third behind him and Kevin Boss.
