Willie Parker is looking for work.
It was widely believed that Parker would be the odd man out in the Redskins’ running back competition, and Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that that’s what happened: The Redskins have told Parker they’re releasing him.
Schefter also reports that Parker is in the process of hiring a new agent now that he’s free to seek deals with other teams.
Parker got the start for the Redskins in the preseason finale and picked up 35 yards on seven carries.
