Perhaps the most surprising part of Braylon Edwards’ DWI Tuesday morning has been the reaction from within the Jets locker room.
Florio passed along some negative comments culled from ESPNNewYork.com, while a teammate told the New York Daily News that it was “not surprising” to find out about Edwards.
“Several players were most disappointed in Edwards’ selfishness and disregard for a team with Super Bowl aspirations,” Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News.
Former Jets safety Kerry Rhodes, now in Arizona, heard that Edwards has caught flak.
“Typical coming from that locker room for quote ‘someone’ to say something bad about him rather than be on his side!” Rhodes tweeted. “But wen scored they were prolly the first one to celebrate with him.#anonymous lol”
The New York Post says Rex Ryan is “infuriated” with Edwards and is strongly considering deactivating Edwards for Sunday night’s game.
