Lions work out Tank Tyler and four defensive backs

The Detroit Lions are looking around for guys who can bolster their defense, with five players visiting this week.

Defensive backs Quintin Demps, Victor Harris, Chevis Jackson and Karl Paymah have all visited the Lions, as has defensive tackle Tank Tyler.

The Lions are coming off a game in which they were shredded by Eagles quarterback Michael Vick, so it’s no surprise that they’re looking for help.

Unfortunately, the kind of help they can get from players who are available in Week Three probably won’t make much of a difference.

  1. don’t know but I’m thinking that taking the time to read to read this article was even more of a waste when these sports writers (and I use the term loosely this time) try to report something with no pertinent information when football season is actually upon us. God help us please,Dbellina, your on the wrong site–take a cold shower.

I know everyone is already thinking this, but isn’t Tom Brady dreamy?#
    Most definitely not.
Tom Brady is so repulsive that the Pacific Ocean couldn’t get wet around him.
He couldn’t get laid in a women’s prison.
In any event, DBellina, it is a moot point from your perspective.
    Giselle is merely a beard.
Tom actually spends his free time with Richard Simmons and Nathan Lane.

I went through something similar when I looked for a prom date.

  4. With 10 sacks in the first two games, and teams generally having difficulty running against the Lions defensive line, hard to believe they would look at a DT as opposed to a LB.
Anyway, it’s possible any of those guys would be an upgrade over the bottom half of the Lions roster in terms of the secondary.

  5. If were gana sign a CB, Macho Harris would be the best of the bunch….and its not a stellar group. We should have given up a 4th round pick to bring in Josh Wilson from the Seahawks. A young, fast, good cover corner is worth a 4.
Why would we bring in Tank Tyler….another KC Chief that was cut. Gunther needs to stop brining in his former failures.
