The Dolphins seem to love picking up new tight ends. And they got an assist getting their latest project from their poor record last season.
PFT has confirmed Miami claimed Mickey Shuler, who was waived by the Vikings Wednesday. Miami was awarded Shuler over the Giants and Colts, despite Miami’s 2-0 record. For the first three weeks of the season, waiver priority still goes off 2009 record.
Shuler and recently promoted practice squad player Jeron Mastrud are now the backups to Anthony Fasano.
