On Sunday Browns running back Peyton Hillis racked up 144 yards on 22 carries in a great performance against the Ravens.
It was a surprisingly big day for Hillis, and surprising most of all to Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs, because he had no idea who Hillis was.
“Never heard of him before in my life,” Suggs said today on The Dan Patrick Show. “I know who he is now, though.”
You’d think Suggs would have already known who Hillis was, considering that Hillis caught two passes for ten yards for the Broncos last year in a game against the Ravens, a game that Suggs played in. But Suggs acknowledged that the Ravens weren’t ready for the threat that Hillis presented.
“He had a good day,” Suggs said. “We really didn’t expect him to have the kind of day he had.”
After the way Hillis played on Sunday, he won’t sneak up on anyone any more.
