Cromartie on Moss: “He plays when he wants to”

100% of Jets starting cornerbacks agree: Randy Moss is a slouch.

A day after Darrelle Revis said Moss didn’t try particularly hard in the second half of the Week two Jets-Patriots game, the guy actually covering Moss in the second half agreed.

He plays when he wants to,” Cromartie said Thursday via ESPNNewYork.com. “He didn’t have that same effort. I think you can see it on film. When you get in his face a lot, he gets frustrated.”

In New England, Moss’ role in the offense was decreasing. The team run two tight ends as their dominant formation and Moss caught only nine passes in the first four games. In Minnesota, Moss figures to see a ton of targets, even in his debut.

No matter what his effort is.
