Another fine for Finnegan could mean suspension

Three fines, and you’re almost out in the NFL.

After Titans cornerback Cortland Finnegan was fined for a third straight week, the NFL warned him that future infractions could result in “increased disciplinary action,” according to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean.

Such a warning is fairly standard.  Cowboys tackle Flozell Adams was fined three straight times last year, and warned he could face additional action.  When he was involved in an incident two months later, Adams was fined $50,000,  but not suspended.

Finnegan’s fine totals are starting to climb as well.  He was fined $10,000 this week instead of the usual $5,000.

  1. Cortland Finnegan is all gums and no teeth. There’s not a receiver in the league afraid of him, or a QB that respects him.
Keep trying to be a “dirty”player because you’ll never be a great player

  2. He’s a scumbag….out to really hurt someone without a care in the world….

  3. Finnegan should threaten Goodell with fisticuffs. That’ll clear up the reputation he’s a cheap-shot giving, play well after the whistle, thug. Right?

  4. Would the NFL Shop let me order his jersey with the name “FINE AGAIN” on it?
