Colt McCoy is Cleveland’s only healthy quarterback

We reported Sunday night that the Cleveland Browns could be in the market for a veteran quarterback, depending on the results of an MRI on Seneca Wallace. Now there’s more news about Wallace’s ankle injury, and it’s not good.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Wallace suffered a high ankle sprain during Sunday’s loss to Atlanta. Jake Delhomme has both a high and low ankle sprain, and that leaves rookie Colt McCoy as the Browns’ only healthy quarterback.

So the Browns will look to bring in a veteran this week, although it’s hard to see them getting anyone this week who could be ready to start on Sunday.

And that means the two starting quarterbacks on Sunday in Pittsburgh are likely to be two quarterbacks who haven’t played a single down yet this year: Ben Roethlisberger and Colt McCoy.
