During an interview at Notre Dame’s game against Western Michigan, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell confirmed that Vikings quarterback Brett Favre would be meeting with the league this week week about the messages and photos he allegedly sent to former Jets employee Jenn Sterger.
Goodell told Alex Flanagan of NBC Sports that the league was still investigating the issue, and he did not specify a time for the meeting during the interview. Flanagan later tweeted that the meeting will take place on Tuesday.
During halftime, Peter King added that the meeting will occur in Minneapolis with Milt Ahlerich, the NFL’s V.P. of security. King also added that the league has not spoken with Sterger yet.
There was no indication about any potential penalty, which makes sense given that there hasn’t been any contact between the league and Favre.
