Bucs cut bait on Keydrick Vincent

The Keydrick Vincent experiment has ended in Tampa.

The 10-year veteran, who started five of the Bucs’ six games in his first and only season with the team, has been cut. The team announced the move on Friday.

Will Barker has been elevated from the practice squad to take Vincent’s place on the roster.

Vincent missed Sunday’s loss to the Rams due to back spasms. He had missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday due to the injury.

Vincent could file an injury grievance, since a player can’t be cut while hurt. But since he’s a vested veteran, Vincent will get the balance of his $1 million base salary as termination pay, assuming he has not previously utilized that once-per-career benefit previously in his career.
