Chargers down three receivers against Titans

If the Chargers are to win their third game of the season on Halloween, they’ll have to do it with a skeleton crew at wide receiver.

Buster Davis, Malcolm Floyd and Legedu Naanee are all inactive for the Week Eight game against the Titans. It’s the third straight game without Naanee and the second straight without Floyd for Philip Rivers, who will have tight end Antonio Gates available to catch his passes. Patrick Crayton and Seyi Ajirotutu are expected to start at receiver for San Diego with Gary Banks and Richard Goodman also active.

The rest of the Chargers inactives are kicker Nate Kaeding, safety Darrell Stuckey, linebacker Larry English, linebacker Brandon Siler and defensive tackle Cam Thomas.

As expected, Vince Young will start at quarterback for the Titans. Their inactives are third quarterback Rusty Smith, wide receiver Justin Gage, cornerback Ryan Mouton, safety Robert Johnson, linebacker Jamie Winborn, offensive lineman Troy Kropog, guard Ryan Durand and defensive tackle Tony Brown.
