As we wait for the election returns to come in (I wrote in my father-in-law for every single race, including multiple levy votes), word has reached PFT headquarters that former Eagles offensive lineman Jon Runyan has secured a spot in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Our friends at FOX 29 in Philly have advised us that incumbent John Adler, a Democrat, has called Runyan, a Republican, to concede.
Runyan joins the likes of Steve Largent, the late Jack Kemp, and the late Byron “Whizzer” White who followed their pro football playing days with political careers.
