Surging Lions rebound from blackout with sellout

Last weekend, plenty of tickets to the Lions’ game against the Redskins went unsold. As a result, the game wasn’t televised locally in Detroit.

This weekend, the victory over Washington and the impending arrival of the New York Jets has resulted in a much different outcome.

The game has sold out, with ease.

As Tom Kowalski of mlive.com points out, there’s a direct correlation between winning and ticket sales (something that isn’t necessarily true for other cities, like Tampa). With the final five home games against the Jets, Patriots, Bears, Packers, and Vikings, there’s a good chance that each one will be sold out.
