Anyone who watched Monday Night Football could see how much Chad Ochocinco was getting frustrated.
Bengals tackle Andrew Whitworth yelled at him at one point, and coach Marvin Lewis had to take Ochocinco out for a few plays to settle him down. Ocho was also called for a delay of game penalty after spiking the ball (The Steelers didn’t accept the penalty.)
While Terrell Owens is on pace to reach seemingly unreachable contract incentives, Ochocinco is on pace for 946 yards.
“It’s not flattering because they do the same thing every week,” Ochocinco said via the Cincinnati Enquirer. “It doesn’t become flattering, it becomes frustrating. You have to put yourself in my shoes. To go week in and week out, to take 85 away and not do anything. It’s not a compliment not after Week 9.”
Ochocinco was calm after the game, half-joking that he could cry. Carson Palmer spoke with his nominal “No. 1" option after the loss to his settle things down. The Ocho may go to desperate measures to change his 2010 story.
“Tell [Dick] LeBeau to give me a break,” Ochocinco said. “I just want to be available. That [bleep] is frustrating. I need to give him a call.”
