Kurt Warner has some free time on his hands

As the Cardinals struggle with a quarterback crap-o-sel of Derek Anderson, Max Hall, and John Skelton, the guy who helped turn around the long-languishing franchise suddenly has plenty of extra time on his hands.

Kurt Warner has been eliminated from ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.

Warner did well enough to make it to the final five.  “I played football for so long that it became natural, it became something I was good at,” Warner said.  “[It] was
such a huge challenge. It was more difficult than I thought it would
be
.”

Warner has made clear that he has called it quits, and that he won’t be returning.  Still, with the Cardinals only a game out of first place in the NFC West, the Cardinals sure could use him.

  1. i am SICK you no longer do Kordoza line updates, specifically because of this year’s Cards QB lineup. for shame!

  2. It’s best that Kurt Warner is gone, as it means that thick & lovely goddess Bristol Palin remains for another week. So what if she doesn’t deserve to be there? She ain’t a star, and her “talent” should have gotten her booted from the start. Graceful as an antelope on the planet Mars.
    Goddess.

  3. One year off and a lot of idol time could spell a return next year. No question that even at 39 he will be better than 3/4 of the QB’s out there.

  4. I love Kurt, but there’s no way he steps in with no preparation and just lights it up if he chose to come back this year. Let the man have his peace. One thing’s for sure, Larry Fitz must be desperate to get out of Arizona now.

  5. I miss Kurt Warner. Just a classy guy. The Cards could have tried MUCH harder to sign him. With all that talent and no one to throw the ball…

  6. Your creation and use of the word “crap-o-sel” is the funniest thing I have seen on this site. Omg. I don’t think I could live without PFT; the writing is pure… awesomeness. The comments rock as well. Go Browns!

Hey moron, Kurt was signed for another year. They offered him more money and a reduced training camp. He WANTED out. Stop blaming the front office for his desire to retire.

  8. Why does everyone fall all over themselves to talk about how “classy” Warner was and is. A truly “classy” guy keeps his word — the promise he made to the Cardinals that he would play two years that made Bidwill willing to pay a higher $$ amount on his contract. Then he not only retires, but in his retirement speech reveals that he began considering retirement a few weeks into the first year of his contract. Then he broke his promise and left AZ with no QB.
A “classy” guy is true to his wife. He doesn’t go Dancing with a half-dressed woman who is half his wife’s age.

Oh there’s so much wrong w/ this I probably won’t be able to get to it all. But I’ll try me very best! First off you sound like someone who isn’t married. There’s a long long way between infidelity & dancing w/ another woman on a TV SHOW. One could make the same argument that a married man shouldn’t be talking w/ a beautiful woman….yet plenty of NFL stars do so w/ sideline reporters every Sunday & still manage to stay married. (So long as the reporter isn’t named Sterger but I digress). Speaking of Lord Favre? I suppose Favre’s got the “classy guy” thing cornered since he’s playing out his contract huh? Isn’t it better to be a MAN of your word, & stay retired after you say you’re retiring?
Anyway shooting even more holes in your agruments dwoofy, you obviously have no clue what Warner & his wife went through. Warner began dating her when she was a single mom w/ two kids. The main reason she fell in love w/ him was because he wasn’t brushing her off because she already had children. When he hit SUPER-STARDOM in the NFL he didn’t abandon her like many other people might have. They’ve stayed married, grew their family, & been what I consider to be one of the FEW remaining examples of a good married couple. When our countries full of so many bad examples of celebrity marriages.
The final nail in the coffin though is the fact that they showed a skit on DWTS where Warner was shown in the dance studio WITH his wife watching. She not only was fine w/ it (why shouldn’t she be), but he even tried several of the moves he was learning with her. If you actually had gotten farther than a second date w/ anyone in the last 10 years, you might actually realize there’s more to relationships than black & white absolutes. Course then again maybe that’s part of the reason why you’re having such a tough time figuring out whether someone’s classy or not aye? Stay classy my friend!
