Former Bucs lineman Arron Sears arrested in Tampa

Former NFL offensive lineman Arron Sears, a once-promising young player with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was arrested on Saturday after being found wandering in the middle of a street in Tampa.

Police who apprehended Sears discovered an outstanding warrant from a June 2010 incident, as a result of which Sears had been accused of battery on a law enforcement officer.

Sears is being held on $2,000 bond. The 2007 second-round pick started 31 games in two seasons. He was diagnosed with a neurological condition in April 2009, and the Bucs eventually released him.
