On Sunday, 49ers kicker Joe Nedney booted a game-winning field goal in overtime while playing with a knee injury.
He won’t get the chance to do it again this week against the Buccaneers.
The 49ers’ PR director tweeted today that Nedney’s MRI revealed a right knee strain and a bone bruise, and he’s likely to sit out this week and be reevaluated next week.
The 49ers are considering three kickers, Shane Andrus, Swayze Waters and Garrett Lindholm.
