Kevin Curtis works out for three teams, eyes return next week

large_kcurtis

Reports emerged earlier today that veteran receiver Kevin Curtis recently worked out for the Lions. Per a league source, Curtis also worked out this week for the Giants and Seahawks. More workouts are possible in the coming days.

As it currently stands, Curtis hopes to pick his next team by Tuesday, November 23, so that he may join his new team for practice by Wednesday, November 24, and playing in Week 12.

Curtis was in the process of overcoming a knee injury when he learned that he had testicular cancer. Surgery was successful, and he opted against radiation therapy so that he could return to the NFL. (That ranks right up there with, and possibly trumps, Ronnie Lott having a piece of his pinkie removed.)

Only three years ago, Curtis caught 77 passes for 1,110 yards and six touchdowns in his first season with the Eagles. Injuries greatly limited his availability in 2008 and 2009.
