The Washington Redskins have made a move to bolster their injury-depleted secondary, signing free agent defensive back Macho Harris.

Rich Campbell of the Free Lance-Star reported the signing this afternoon, and PFT has confirmed it.

Harris was a fifth-round draft pick of the Eagles in 2009, and he was a pleasant surprise early on, earning a spot in the starting lineup for the beginning of the regular season.

But Harris struggled this offseason as he moved around between safety and cornerback, and he was waived just before the start of the 2010 regular season. After two months away, he’s now back in the league and back in the NFC East.
