Raiders-Jaguars will be televised in Jacksonville

For the seventh time in seven home games, the local fans have come through for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Jaguars announced today that enough tickets have been sold for the blackout to be lifted, and that means Sunday’s Raiders-Jaguars game will be shown on local television -- just as each of the previous six home games this year have.

Technically, the game is not a sellout, and the Jaguars avoided using the term “sellout” in the team’s official announcement. Club level seats are still available, and so are some of the tickets allotted to the Raiders.

But enough tickets have been sold to get the game on local TV, and that’s a credit to the fans in Jacksonville, who have done a good job of rallying around their first-place team this year.
