Packers in position for playoffs after blowout win

Aaron Rodgers, Jordy Nelson

Aaron Rodgers rebounded from his concussion a lot better than the Giants rebounded from their collapse against the Eagles.

Rodgers threw for 404 yards and four touchdowns in a 45-17 thrashing of the G-Men on Sunday. It was still a one score game midway through the third quarter until the Giants defense fell apart again.

Turnovers have been a huge problem for the Giants all year. They coughed it up six times Sunday, including four interceptions from Eli Manning. Rodgers made the Giants pay for their mistakes again and again.

The Packers, 9-6, know they are in the playoffs with a win against the Bears next week. The Giants will need help to get into the tournament. The Giants loss clinches the NFC East for the Eagles.

We’ll have all week to break down scenarios. Today’s story was about one of the league’s best quarterbacks taking down a supposedly strong Giants defense.

That’s a story that Giants fans have grown used to the last two weeks.
