Although the blizzard in Philadelphia gave him two extra days to recover from a concussion, Vikings quarterback Brett Favre is not expected to play Tuesday night against the Eagles.
Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said today that Favre hasn’t passed the neurological tests that all players diagnosed with a concussion must pass before taking the field.
“He’s still having trouble with the initial test,” Frazier said, “which leads you to believe it’s going to be very, very difficult (Monday) to do anything other than where he is right now.”
Last week Favre started even after the Vikings said he couldn’t play, so it’s still entirely possible that Favre will play after all. But all indications are that Joe Webb will start for the Vikings.
