As soon as Stanford’s Orange Bowl victory was in the books on Monday night, coach Jim Harbaugh and quarterback Andrew Luck faced questions about whether they were finished at Stanford and headed to the NFL.

Predictably, neither would make a commitment.

Luck indicated that he’ll wait until the January 15 deadline to decide for sure whether he wants to enter the draft, saying, “I’ll enjoy this as long as I can.”

But Luck indicated that his decision about whether or not to enter the NFL draft (where he’s the odds-on favorite to be the No. 1 overall pick) could be affected by whether or not Harbaugh leaves Stanford. Harbaugh could leave for Michigan or the NFL.

Harbaugh wouldn’t answer questions about whether he’ll be back and grew agitated when reporters asked him about his future at the post-game press conference. He should get used to those questions: They’ll keep coming until he has a new job.
