Tom Brady’s case for his second NFL MVP award included a strong final push.
The NFL named Brady its AFC Offensive Player of the Month for December/January. It was Brady’s fourth player of the month award, and his first this season. He had eleven touchdowns and broke the league’s record for consecutive passes without an interception.
Aaron Rodgers won the honor in the NFC after leading the Packers to the playoffs. Rodgers missed one game, but threw for eight scores with two interceptions in December and January.
Bucs running back LeGarrette Blount won the NFC Rookie of the Month award, while Chiefs safety Eric Berry won the AFC version. Berry closed with 39 tackles (27 solo), eight passes defensed, two INTs with one TD during his strong stretch run.
