Antonio Cromartie on Tom Brady: F— him, a–hole

While the Patriots are zipping it in advance of Sunday’s divisional playoff game, the Jets are continuing to take shots at Tom Brady. And now Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie has taken those shots to the next level.

Cromartie was asked for his thoughts on Brady and offered a couple of seven-letter responses that we can’t fully reprint without resorting to hyphens.

An asshole,” Cromartie said, according to the New York Daily News. “F–k him.”

Cromartie also chimed in on Brady pointing to the Jets’ sideline after throwing a fourth-quarter touchdown pass during the Patriots’ 45-3 win over the Jets.

“We see that a lot. He does it a lot,” Cromartie said. “That’s the kind of guy he is. We really don’t give a damn, to tell you the truth.”

We’ll see during the week if Brady has anything to say back to Cromartie, or if he’ll save his response for Sunday on the field.

  1. It’s funny how he claims that that “we really don’t give a damn, to tell you the truth”, but also says “f— him, a–hole”.

Certainly seems like Brady is winning here, just like he will Sunday.

  2. “Thats the kind of guy he is”..as opposed to having 9 kids w/multiple women, some kids whose names you cant remember…Thats the kind of guy he is

  3. Cromartie is a great example of why you should have to pass a test to have children. He spit that drivel out in 3 seconds. Meanwhile he’s still trying to remember the names of all of his illegitimate kids.

You won’t hear a peep anti-Trojan Man. Brady always does his talking on the field.

  4. Brady does tend to get a little childish with his taunting during the game. However, history has shown that the guy thrives on bullitin board material.

This kind of stuff only adds to the already enormous chip he has on his shoulder.

  5. “we dont really give a damn, to tell you the truth.”
    _ really?

Cromartie also hates child support and condoms.

The more the Jets talk, the further Belichick hunkers down and dissects his already superior game plan.

My question is: Rex, what will you say when they beat you?

  6. Guess who is betting on the Patriots to cover the pver/under by themselves… This guy

  7. “We see that a lot. He does it a lot,” Cromartie said.

You wouldn’t have to worry about that if you could stop him from throwing touchdowns, you tool. (Not a PATS fan or a JETS fan, just thought that was funny.)

  8. I bet this really hurts Brady’s feelings.

Cromartie is an ass clown, who is much better @ inseminating any trailer park ho…than he is a Defensive back…Lets not even get into his lack of balls in tackling.

    Amazing that the jets, their fans…and of course the foot boy;

Saw an interesting comment this aM…’Perhaps no fan base in all of sports has witnessed fewer accomplishments and celebrated more…than the jet fans. For all their failure and degradation, jet fans always find reason to believe things are getting better”

43 years of failure, incompetance, criminals , wasted draft picks, and baby daddies like Cromartie….A laughingstock franchise that was picked 5th WORST in NFL history by ESPN.

Yet, they can talk better than anyone ever has…So c’mon degenerate, rex can coach…and all you other sissies…open your mouth.

  9. Actually the best quote by Cro is:

“We see that a lot. He does it a lot,”

Yes Cro, he does do it a lot to you when he toasts you. In fact you did see “it a lot” in the beatdown a few weeks ago when you got toasted by the Smurfs for 3 touchdowns. Peyton and Garcon toasted you also. That’s what happens when you are a 3rd rate CB.

  10. This coming from the same guy…who got torched from Garcon last week….and eaten alive from Branch in 45-3 drubbing.

Yes…Brady needs to avoid Cromartie @ all costs.

  11. The Jets coaches/players always have something to say.. But can’t back it up on the field. It gets really old.. They were the one talking smack last time and got whipped 45-3… Com on man.. Jets are too overrated time for Brady to put them out for good..

  12. Well well well classy jets at it again, I dont like the pats very much but I do like how they are taking all this trash talking by staying quiet and will provide the butt whooping on the field

  13. We all know the Jets wouldn’t do any talking if they were blowing out the Pats. The Jets have become tiresome very quickly.

  14. Given the Patriots success in the last decade, what the Jets are doing under Rex Ryan is truly remarkable: actually rallying much of the nation behind the Patriots and against the Jets.

Comments like these just make me that much more confident that Sunday will be another whitewash.

  15. Not that I give a crap one way or another, I hate both these teams equally, but again we see a ‘Brady points at our bench after a touchdown’ statement. Isn’t that taunting?

Not that Sir Brady of the long locks and supermodel wife would ever get a flag for something as trivial as taunting.

  16. Ahhhh yes Octodad, or the second half of Revis and Butthead, comments on Tom Brady. Hey Butthead, if it seems like Brady points a lot its cause they put 45 up you last time.

I am not a Pats fan at all but the Jests are annoying. Hey it 1969 since you really won something.

Shut the heck up will you, you haven’t done anything but beat a depleted Colts team (offense and defense) by 1 stinking point.

  17. Jeepers! What an outrageous comment by one himself … Brady doesn’t disprespect anyone with his mouth … Cromartie should look at his “coverage skills” in the game vs. the Colts … if it hadn’t been extrememly for poor coverage skills by the Colts on the kickoff return he would have been exposed as one of the reasons they would have being the losers instead of winning the game. We’ll enjoy seeing his ass ____ get turned around on Sunday!

  18. Typical JETS comment. This Team is a joke from their loud mouth foot fetish fat ass coach all the way down to the players. Cro was such a promising young player who started with such a bang. Every time he opens his mouth now I cant help but remember that play against the JETS last year where he was afraid to make contact with Shonn Greene and the only after Greene was by him he raced behind him to make it look like he was giving effort. Such a shame to see this team like this considering the ownership… I hope the fans in New England bring posters of feet to the stadium to make Rex drool and then they can stick them in their mouth when they walk away losers again.

  19. Sounds like another over acheiver spouting at the mouth again. Cromartie must be in the same club as Moss, and Owens.
Brady will counter by his play on the field, as he rarely lowers himself to such playground tactics.
That’s what you want to do, give Brady more fuel to pound the crap out of your team.
    ….and he most likely will.

  20. “We see that a lot. He does it a lot,” Cromartie said. “That’s the kind of guy he is. We really don’t give a damn, to tell you the truth.”

Well stop letting them score and you won’t see him do that much. Only does it after throwing a TD pass.

  21. Brady abused Cromartie a month ago and he’ll abuse him again. I really didn’t think there was any chance the Patriots were going to put 40 on the Jets in this game. Now?? Now I think it’s a real possibility.

  22. If you didn’t suck, then 45 points wouldn’t have occurred. Point at yourself ya sieve.

  23. what response did you expect from a turd like him

he says the same thing to his ex girl friends after he knocks them up and leaves them to raise his children fatherless

yeah…a perfect gentleman..we can really rely on his advice cant we..jeez ..what a role model for us all.

  24. Cro is retarded and will continue to get tourched by Brady.

Not a Pats fan but the Jets are an incredibly dumb organization

  25. I am glad the Jetsies hate Tom and that Tom does his talking on the field. Is that offensive to the jetsies?? Well, try hearing nothing but talk from Rexie and the Jetsies for months straight. I would have more respect for them if they did less chattering and could play.

  26. Jets are trying to get into the Pats* * * head by focusing their attacks on Brady. It is a psychological move that may or may not work.

They know they can’t do much to sway Brady of Coach BB, but the supporting cast can be effected. . .

If causes them to answer questions, waste some time, lose focus for a few minutes it effects them.

I would also add that those players may have ideas of defending or protecting Brady come game time and that could cause their minds to wonder here and there.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Jets come out and Knock Brady down on the first possession. Take the 15 yards and do some more talking just to add to their skit.

  27. Victory31 sez “Not that Sir Brady of the long locks and supermodel wife would ever get a flag for something as trivial as taunting.”

Don’t let Brady’s looks or lifestyle fool you. He is much more of a football player than a QB. He’s gotten in the face of Fugly Suggs, spiked the ball with real purpose on the Steelers after Hairdo tried to twist his head off after a QB sneak, he yells at his own teammates, headbutts, etc.
Tom Brady is a football player.

  28. This guy is about as intelligent as a piece of wood, no wonder he can’t remember all his kid’s names.

You missed the best part of his quotes –

“He’s doing the pointing at our defensive line and stuff like that,” Cromartie said. “That’s the kind of a guy he is. He’s a competitor, he loves what he’s doing. He’s going to compete. When you’re competing, you are not worrying about anything else, about what anybody else is doing. You’re just worried about what you have to do.”

Yes Cromartie, he’s pointing at your Dline and other defenders. It’s not like, you know, QBs ever make audibles and adjustments at the LOS and have to call them to the rest of the offense. Nobody in the NFL ever does that.

  29. I get the feeling that Ryan’s tactic of running his mouth about Brady and Belichick is going to have the reverse effect on the jets.
The players have to be wondering how worried the coach really is about playing the Pats if he feels the need to take the pressure off of them by constantly taalking everyday.
At some point doesn’t it seem insulting to them that the coach thinks he needs to do this non-stop.
I think it shows how insecure he really is about his chanced of his team coming through.
It’s like everyday he watches some new film of the patriots brilliance and gets terrified of what he saw and feels the need to take more pressure off his team because he doesn’t know what else to do from a game planning way.

  30. You will never see Tom say anything bad about anybody even CrumSmartie.

I’ll bet Tom is having a big laugh over his remarks.

The joke’s on you Scum Marty.

  31. The league should comedown on Crummartie for his language.

I got an idea – the Jets have to play both 2012 regular season games at New England.

  32. Not that I give a crap one way or another, I hate both these teams equally, but again we see a ‘Brady points at our bench after a touchdown’ statement. Isn’t that taunting?

It is not taunting if it does not happen. Just because the Jets say it is true does not mean it is true.

I would not be surprised though. For having a ‘cool customer’ reputation, Brady gets fired up regularly during games, and has certainly exchanged words with opponents on the field.

  33. Antonio, you might want to ask Anthony Smith what happens when someone talks smack to the Patriots before the game. The way I remember it, Smith tortured on the field during that game.

It is pretty clear that the Patriots got into the heads of the Jets, and this is the only way they know how to handle it… while the Patriots prepare, the Jets talk. And that difference is very likely to be evident on the field Sunday.

I for one am looking very forward to the post-game comments when the Jets get destroyed, and looking forward to the Jets’ fans excuses on this and other boards.

    GO PATRIOTS!

  34. correction… Smith got tortured…

Hey Mike, we need an EDIT button. Or maybe you can just let us update every post sixteen times. 🙂

  35. The Patriots are going to have to play their best mistake-free game of the year on Sunday. This Jets team is fired up, pissed off and ready to go.

  36. Jets game plan:
Say anything stupid that will embarrass the (Jets) team, their fans, the league, the owner and the media as well.

    Good job Rex and Co.

  37. Cromartie could probably play better if he wasn’t dealing with the discomfort of his herpes. Might put him in a better mood as well.

  38. Nothing wrong with gamesmanship, boasting etc, but this is the lowest form of response from the lowest form of character.

Jets fans, if you don’t admit you’re ashamed you’re lying.

  39. So says the idiot that can’t even spell. Shoot, he can’t even spell his own last name. I forget who did a report on him, but he is 100% illiterate.

  40. @commoncents um you do know that brady came out and said he hates the jets in the offseason, right? So how exactly does he “do his talking on the field?”

Let me also remind you all that when the Giants beat the Patriots in ’08 Plexico predicted the score to be 23-17 Giants, during the week before the SB. When Brady heard this he laughed and said “So Plex things we’re only gonna score 17? Ok.” Did that give him any extra motivation? Did he want to go out there and score 40? Well, Plex was wrong, NE only scored 14.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghmVMeMJgw8

  41. The more the Jets talk, the more they resemble a bully trying to intimidate an opponent out of a fight because they really don’t want to fight. Problem is, New England is not likely to back down.

As for Brady, most people aren’t aware that he is among the most competitive people on the planet. I read once where Matt Light said he’s a terrible loser – he’ll knock over the board of checkers if he’s losing – and is driven to win EVERY competition. This is common among the greats in any sport. Nobody talked more on the court than Larry Bird, for instance.

  42. I went to the last day of the 2010 NFL Draft. The funniest part of the day was when Cromartie came out on stage and Jets fans began chanting “Feed your kids, feed your kids…” A close second was when Braylon Edwards came on stage and the same Jets fans began yelling “Don’t drop the mike!”.

  43. haha. Hate ’em both…but funny stuff. Oh those darn Jettys, when will they realize they’re in for another good rogering by Tom Beiber?

  44. lmao go get’em Gang Green, love it, Brady’s a DICK!!!!!! we will win Sunday, and move on, I love all you Jet haters, kiss our ass’s!!!!!

  45. Dont hate the jets cause they have the balls to say whats on their minds. Unlike some other teams..

  46. I don’t particularly like Tom Brady much. But you can’t argue with success.
Though I wonder if some of the feelings Antonio has for Tom are shared by Antonio’s baby momma’s towards Antonio.

  47. The Yets dont play the underdog role very well. You would think a team that got destroyed on national tv and hasnt won a superbowl in 42 years would be a bit more humble.

To everyone that mentioned Cromartie’s kids… Tom Brady has an illegitimate kid as well.
    _____________________________

Yes he does. But Brady knows the name of his son, and the year he was born and the date. Cro is struggling with those facts.

The one thing I did learn from Cro however on Hard Knocks is that 2007 was a banner year for him in the procreation department.

You might want to get back to practice, Antonio.

And make sure you are back here Monday morning to take your punishment.

  50. Cromartie: Shut up and play football. What you say has nothing to do with what’s gonna happen on the field!! Only that matters! Bulletin board material is normally a recipe for defeat!

  51. Well you certainly have to hand it to a guy that isn’t afraid to speak his mind. Even if you don’t like what he says. It sounds like he’s ready to go. I’m sure he’ll play well.

With all the rhetoric before this game, you’d think it was for a title. As it is, it’s only a divisional game. Whoever is left standing still has a lot work to do.

And let me straighten something out. There are no illegitimate kids. Only illegitimate parents who call themselves mothers and fathers yet shirk all the responsibilities of parenthood. Nothing so tragic as a young child that lacks the love and support of involved parents.

  52. Is it the pointing that bothers you dumba$$, or the way Tom can score at will on the jets, and specifically you?? I am sure you would be fine if he hung 45 on you but didn’t point right??

  53. Word has it that Fat Rex is yelling foul.
He heard that part of Belichecks game plan is to have the cheerleaders go shoeless.

  54. I think both Steelers fans and ravens fans are saying thank you to the jets for taking the attention off of our respective teams this week.

I get the Foot Meister bumping his gums because he doesn’t have a solid game plan to deal with Brady but the players joining in is just asking to fisted – AGAIN…

  56. Been watching Football for a long time, but never heard or seen anything like the NY Trailers! ( Trailer Trash)
Is this the NFL or the Springer Show?

Fortunately for the Trailers thier season is almost over…Rex, Cromartie and several others Westhoff, Alosi will be available for Daytime TV!

Guess that comes from being NFL doormats for so long..But Congrats…you talk the crap better than any fan base in NFL…and fear not, April coming soon and thats when you’ll defend your 43 straight SB wins.

  60. Tom Brady career Super Bowl stats:

TD passes longer than 8 yards: 0
    Game winning TD passes: 0
Super Bowls won during seasons the team and coach did not admit to cheating: 0

As far as all-time great clutch Super Bowl quarterbacking goes, this guy is a complete joke compared to Bradshaw, Elway, Montana, Aikman, Plunkett, etc… He has zero highlight reel Super Bowl TD passes in 16 quarters of football.

Without Adam Vinatieri, Brady could easily join Jim Kelly at 0-4 as a Super Bowl starting qb.

@kb5523 brady has kids with multiple women too.

Brady has one “illegitimate” son with a woman he was in a multiyear relationship with. They have a joint custody arrangement and Brady is doing all he can to help raise him.

That’s a bit different from eight kids with eight different women, and being unable to name them.

    Pusshead

  62. The Jets should act like they’ve been there before but they can’t.

The last time the Jets even played in a Super Bowl was before Neil Armstrong walked on the moon, Lyndon Johnson was president and the Vietnem war was raging.

    Keep talking……just keep talking.

I think I would be embarrassed to be a Jets fan after Scum Marties’ remarks.

Not embarrassed one bit. I love this stuff, and I think most NFL fans probably wish their team had more of an attitude and identity similar to that of the Jets, even though they will never admit it. I think this is great for the NFL and great for Jets fans. This can even be a good thing for Patriots and Dolphins fans. It gives you guys even more of a reason to hate the Jets, makes the rivalry that much better.

  64. I’ve seen 45-3 on this page at least four times. That is ancient history. A lot of things went right for the Patriots that night.

That’s not going to happen again. Whatever these Jets are, they aren’t quitters and that team still has professional talent. They’ll show up, they’ll play hard and they’ll do so thinking full well that they are going to win this game. And they are highly motivated. In that regard, they need to be taken seriously.

There is no one left in this tournament that isn’t going to play hard and go out without one helluva fight. I’m sure BB and Tom Brady would echo my sentiments.

  65. The only thing Cromartie has on Brady is more kids out of wedlock and by a wide margin I might add.

  66. One thing for sure, the language necessary to describe the Jets is getting smaller. You don’t have to know what having “class” is.

The only people who are affected by low life garbage are people who are low life garbage. Sorry folks, but this is not good for the NFL or the Jets or society. The fact that anyone thinks this is “gamesmanship” or some form of psychological warfare is sadly mistaken. You want to “psych” out your opponent? Go out and win! Potty-mouthers may occasionally win, but it has nothing to do with what comes out of their mouths.

I’ll stick with the “class” of the league. Go Pats!

  67. So lets see…This dude needed a $500,000 advance from jets…to pay for his back dated child support of 9 children from 8 different women….Sadly, he cannot remember the NAMES of his own kids…or their mothers….as seen on Hard Knocks. Trailer parks and ho’s all look the same to this…STUD

Now, he’s married to the woman of his dreams…a changed man.

Still he cannot be this dumb, can he?

  68. Don’t rile up Danny Woodhead; he’s liable to break a long gainer (like 15 yards). GO JETS! and, yeah, f–k Belicheat while we’re at it.

  69. @8man

there are a total of 7 postseason games left. chances are good that at least one of those games will be a no contest (just the law of averages). the chances of that one no contest being the jets-pats game is highly likely. just because there are only 8 teams left doesnt mean that one of them cant possibly get embarrassed. the jets are prime candidates for that to happen to.

  70. The final episode of Hard Knocks will be on Sunday Night when the Jests assume their annual role as a disappointment to the RedHeaded Stepchild fanbase that thinks they actually matter in the tristate area.

Soon it will be 42 years as most jests fans will cheer a lockout so they won’t face becoming the reality of not winning a Super Bowl for the 43rd year.

  71. keep talking, just keep talking because we all know, when you can’t hang wit your opponent, you just keep talkin

Ryan is a piece of garbage, he started this thug unsportsmanlike culture at NYJETs, he’ll be gone in < 2 yrs.
I bet ownership is just beaming with Pride over these antics

BTW, pointing at a sideline ain't nothing compared to "Sideline Coaches" impeding the progress of and potentially seriously injuring and an opposing player.
Just when you thought the a white-trash Rex Flyin led Jets squad couldn't get any lower, they do. A real coach would've stood up and taken responsibility for his subordinates atrocious behavior. Not Rex though, what a fraud. Bye Bye Sweats!

  72. Finally, the voice of reason (8man)

The Patriots aren’t God like – the Jets beat them early in the season and the Pats took that lesson and beat them next. The game this weekend will determine who learned the most lessons from those two match-ups (probably Belichik but I hope not).

Am I the only one who finds Cromartie’s comments funny? Sure he’s got a ton of kids out of wedlock, but little Tommy boy isn’t a saint either. Dumped his pregnant (potential ex (up for debate) girlfriend) while she was pregnant with his child. Add to that his snarky face, long hair, and taunting… can’t stand the dude. Tom Brady vs. Pittsburgh in the postseason: 2-0

Super Bowl victories that have gone through your precious Steelers and Heinz Field: 2

Furthermore, you are mentally challenged if you want to try and discredit Brady’s Super Bowl performances.

Need I remind you of Super Bowl 36, a minute and a half left, game tied 17-17, NO TIMEOUTS, John Madden urging the Patriots to take a knee for overtime, instead Brady leads one of the most epic, clutch drives in NFL history to get Vinatieri into position to kick the game winning FG. Forget about that? And for the record, Brady’s end of first half TD pass to David Patton, absolutely burning Dexter McCleon, was pretty goddamn highlight worthy to most football fans.

Congrats for the most ignorant, idiotic post so far of 2011.

Only the fans are willing to totally overlook their next opponent, because there’s no real vested interest in it for them other than a little embarrassment on the internet for running their mouths should they not be victorious. Funny how “45-3” a few weeks ago is totally relevant to predicting victory this weekend, but “33-14” from the wild card round last year means nothing now nor will it next week if the Ravens were to end up playing NE in the AFCCG.

  81. Here’s hoping the Pats beat the Jets, merely so the Steelers can beat the Pats for the AFC Championship. But if the Jets win, the Steelers can beat them as well. Steelers will get revenge on teams that beat them during the regular season.

    GO STEELERS!!

I wish more people would level the punk on the playing field.

Are you saying the week 2 matchup is as telling as the week 12 matchup? Considering the Patriots have a new scheme, new players involved, and more motivation?

Not sure what ex girlfriend item is “up for debate” considering he dated the person for a few years and she got pregnant. It happens. At least he knows his kids name and spends time with him.

You really are getting on Brady for one time pointing at the Jets bench after your idiot team talked trash for weeks. What a hypocrite.

  84. Cromartie is a loser. He’s a nobody. Jets havent’t won anything since 1969. So when u guys win something in the modern era, maybe then you can earn the right to talk. Pathetic franchise

    @ whatever897

I couldn’t agree with you more! What Cromartie said was what every non Patriot fan in this country already thought. Now if Brady burns him then he looks like a fool but I say the same thing about Brady every week!

Actually everyone I talk to is tired of hearing about the Jets, and enjoys watching the Pats play solid football.

  86. Brady is an a..hole, no question… attitude, taunting, that fake facia of a good guy he puts up…..

but he’s proven a hundred times that if you get under his skin in a big way prior to a game he most likely will take it out in TDs…

Cromartie and anyone else doing this kinda stuff before a game is taking a gamble that most often blows up in their face…

does anyone really believe that doing this results in a better chance of a W on game day? come on….

  87. I don’t know how we got onto which guys have kids with multiple women. How is that relevant?I don’t root for anyone to get hurt. I root for them to play poorly.

The fact is that in this age of parity, there are no true upsets. In the playoffs, regular season results are meaningless. I think Seattle showed us that last week. And another New York team showed the world that three years ago when they kept the Patriots from destiny. The Giants ran their mouths too. And they backed it up.

The Jets are ready for this game. The Steelers have two Super Bowl victories since the Patriots won their last one. And the Ravens won in Foxboro last year. By the way, the Jets and Ravens are a combined 7-3 in the playoffs over the last three seasons. All of those games were on the road.

None of these teams are intimidated about coming into Foxboro and they can all easily win there. It’s silly and detracting to worry about anything that isn’t an X or an O.

I’ll be incredibly surprised if either of the AFC games are one sided.

    ———————————————
They probably needed a good polishing, because they’re so old now.

  89. Look. Brady is gonna be Brady on Sunday. How can he play better than he already does? Having said that, these comments by Cromartie are dumb but he is putting himself on the line and he knows it. Maybe these comments will make him play better.

  90. andyprough – “Super Bowls won during seasons the team and coach did not admit to cheating” 0.

    Specifics please?

    Just the facts

Thanks and have a good day

  91. Favre should have stayed with the Jets.
His drama queen act was a perfect fit for this bunch of cry babies.

  92. The Jets tried to switch it up and compliment them, now Cromartie is playing the Villain. The Jets are so focused on Mind F*##ing the Patriots, they’re Mind F*##ing themselves. Rex can’t help but think about BB all day/night and the Jets D is terrified of Brady. How don’t they realize the best way to act is like the Patriots. Just like Rick Hendrick and Jimmie Johnson; Never say anything about your competition but compliments. They hardly say anything at all. They just win! Sure, TB said he “hates the Jets”. He said it with a smile. He doesn’t give a rats a$$ about the Jets or any other team for that matter. He’s out there to win rings and nothing else. He’s accomplished as much or more than any other active QB in the league and even in the HOF. He’s easy to hate.

The media hypes this up so much to be like the Red Sox/Yankees. It’s comical.

I predict a lot of 15 yard penalties for the Jets. I think they’re going to try and rough up the Pats but get out-smarted again.

This one might be close though. I think Pats will win by a score.

  93. ampatsy, I’m not a jets fan… so your comments are wide of the mark. As for school, yeah we 5th graders had school today. Didn’t the snow delay affect you and your kindergarten friends?

  94. funny, the jets are the worst team left in the afc side, but are the best at talking. while the steelers, ravens, and patriots are used to being here YEAR AFTER YEAR, the jets are acting like they are just lucky to be here and are going to have fun while it last (which is 4 more more days)

  95. Ahh man, I know the media will never show Tom Brady do his childish and racial comments he says to other players. So I really want the PATs to lose. Besides Brady is not much better than Cromardie…Brady kick his pregnant girlfriend to the curb while she was pregnant and was flaunting his new girlfriend in her face. But nobody wants to talk about their “busted golden boy”!

    Go Jets!

    ————————————————
Seriously, I’m a Steeler fan, but that’s one of the most ridiculous posts I’ve seen on here. I hate Brady, but the guy is without question one of the top three qb’s I’ve ever seen, and probably the best.

  97. I’m still trying to figure out where all of the “paper Lombardi” nonsense stems from. I’ve been a Jets fan for 25 years and as any REAL Jets fan will tell you, we’re always waiting for the other shoe to drop. I’m pretty sure that Rex is the only Jets “fan” who thought the Jets were ready to win the Super Bowl this year. So what are we supposed to do? Stop rooting for the Jets? Switch over to a winner and jump on the bandwagon? F*ck all that. Eventually this organization will win and all of the waiting and heartache along the way will have been well worth it. As far as being embarassed by Cromartie’s remarks, I survived three years of Rich Kotite. The Alosi wall was a bit disgraceful to say the least. That was embarrassing.

  98. I love how the Jets are painted as jerks for talking smack. The Pats got caught in one of he worst cheating incidents in professional sports.

Rex Ryan and his foot fetish? hey, at least he never broke up a marriage like the Pats HC!

Agreed. Everyone knows that it takes a lot more balls to call someone names in an interview than it does to keep them from running up the score on you.

  100. With each new day I get to log on here and see another example of the Jets’ stupidity and Pats’ professionalism. I wonder what tomorrow will bring?

    Sunday, please get here quick.

  101. Oh yea Brady can taunt the sideline of the opposing teams…but Desean Jackson falls into the endzone and sports media and people want to blast and bash him all over! I guess Brady is the classy white boy at QB that makes the difference, oh wow! Brady is a total loser and I hate when YOU people put him up like he your last W__ hope or something. Without an o-line he wouldn’t be able to anything, he runs a pedestrian 5.7 in the 40 so we know he can not do anything but get sacked if the O-line fails to block, what a joke, and Cromartie said what I would have said only f__ you, Brady and the horse you road in on ! lol

  102. i hope the nfl fines cromarty, u can all share your opinions but the bottom line is that these guys are supposed to be role models. how many of you would like your 6 year old kid to be a fan of this guy and hear him talking like that.

now some of you might be saying that there iisnt any kids that look up to him, and yes i know atleast 8-9 kids that dont look up to him for his lack of child support or the fact that he doesnt remember thier names.

when the pats score there 38th point on the jets i really hope for brady to point at every single one of those loud mouths on the side line.

its just sad that the jets dont play as fast as thier mouths. really impressive jets fans, be proud.

and when you jets fans back up all the classless talk from your team remember this. espn took a pole to see if people like the way the bb or rex handle themselves with respect to trash talk. every state in the country voted in mass majority for bb including new york

  103. @meso0rnery says:Jan 12, 2011 9:23 AM To everyone that mentioned Cromartie’s kids… Tom Brady has an illegitimate kid as well. 105. @gablowme (or whatever your stupid-ass screen name is)

You were funny in Hamlet 2.

Here are Brady’s Super Bowl TD tosses, for the mentally challenged:

1st Super Bowl: 8 yard TD.
    Won by Vinatieri field goal
2nd Super Bowl: 5 yard TD, 5 yard TD, 1 yard TD.
    Won by Vinatieri field goal
3rd Super Bowl: 4 yard TD, 2 yard TD.
    Won by Vinatieri field goal
4th Super Bowl: 6 yard TD.
Won by Eli Manning 13 yard TD to Burress

Face it – he’s a dink-and-dunk checkdown guy who has not won a clutch game since his kicker left for the Colts

Here are Bradshaw’s longest Super Bowl throws, in comparison:
64 yard pass to Swann, 28 yard pass to Stallworth, 75 yard pass to Stallworth, 47 yard pass to Swann, 73 yard pass to Stallworth

Bradshaw won Super Bowls with his cannon arm, and his receivers got into the Hall of Fame because they had a clutch qb

By comparison, none of the receivers who spent the majority of their career with Tom Brady will ever sniff the Hall of Fame. He does not put them in position to get highlight reel catches in clutch games

  106. “I love how the Jets are painted as jerks for talking smack. The Pats got caught in one of he worst cheating incidents in professional sports.”

  107. It’s great to see fans from all over the country – people who normally hate the Patriots – come together to say they hope the Patriots thrash the Jets even worse than last time. I don’t even have to say a word about Cromartie’s comments …… okay, I’ll say ONE word:

    Scoreboard.

    @TJ52 s:
The Patriots are going to have to play their best mistake-free game of the year on Sunday.
    ——————————————————-
I don’t know how much more “mistake free” they could get after going, you know, nine games without making a turnover. I’d love to see Rex Ryan go nine weeks without EATING a turnover.

I’m also thinking that “fired up, pissed off and ready to go” is not what you want to be in the playoffs…….. what you WANT to be is composed, controlled, and focused. That’s how New England has made it to four Super Bowls in the last ten years ……. you read that right, Jets fans: four SB’s in the past ten years.

  108. I know Cro has a lot of illegitimate kids but lets not forget Brady’s bastard. He’s white so people tend to forget about it.

  109. All football fans outside the NY market will be glad when this overrated, hype circus come to an end @ NE Pats this weekend. We doubt the NFL and the refs will protect this freak show on that stage the way they have all year against the lesser teams. Ask any Detroit Lions fan who attended the Jets game for an eyewitness account of what kind of team the Jets are:

4Q personal foul/dirty hit on kicker Jason Hanson ended his season and maybe his HOF career. Also allowed the Jets to squeak into overtime when Hanson’s emergency replacement missed the PAT when they replayed the down.

3Q personal foul/late hit blindsided Matthew Stafford and was the original cause of his season ending injury. Probably won the game for the Jets when Stafford eventually left the game later in 4Q.

Refs killed a Lions drive by calling a non-existent chop block call on Lions OL for the second time in the game. Lions coaching staff changed blocking scheme on the fly for rest of game. Weeks later NFL quietly acknowledged BOTH chop block calls against the Lions in that game were erroneous.

On the very same play, Jets defenders attempted to decapitate Lions receiver on same play by swinging him off his feet by the face mask while at least one ref watched.

Jets players leave the sideline in 4Q to scuffle with Lions safety ON THE FIELD directly in front of the refs. No call. Probably not shown on tv either.

Ryan, Cromartie and Sanchize should hit the WWE circuit for their off season which will begin next week.

  110. @andyprough

    Give it a rest buddy.

I’m one of the biggest Jet fans around. Seriously, cut me and green will come out.

No, people don’t forget about that. What people forget about is that it is one kid. Cromartie has 20, all the 15 of which are the same age. If Brady had the same amount we’d all bash him for that as well.

  112. @andyprough,

If it’s so bloody simple, why isn’t every team employing so-called “dink and dunk”? Surely with Sanchez’s accuracy issues, “dink and dunk” would have the Jets at 16-0 this season, right? My Gawd, if I were a HC with a QB like Sanchez, I would employ “dink and dunk” immediately because I know that’s all it takes to win a SB.

  113. I am a Raider fan and I have seen this dumba$$ talk a lot when he was with the Chargers. He has never faced good QB’s in the AFC West including the Raiders, but he gets burnt time and again. Revis held Wayne to 1 catch for 1 yard….what the hell did this dick head do. Nothin……I watch a lot of football and I cant wait to see this game…..This fool will get burnt atleast for 3 tds….the Pats are gonna run up the score…….I want Brady to point at this fool…….

You think that 16-0 is so impossible, and yet Roethlisberger in his rookie year and Jim McMahon reeled off 14, 15 wins in a row – and they were not sure-fire Hall of Famers at that point in their careers.

Brady is a nice qb, but for anyone to say that he is one of the greatest Super Bowl qb’s of all time is just laughable – where are the great Super Bowl TD throws? Where are the Super Bowl winning TD passes? Are you going to compare him to Montana, who did it with his arm?? Not a chance

  116. nyjalleffingday,

Don’t tell Andy what to do. He has every right to think Brady isn’t that good.

Also you Jets fans are just as gifted as your coach. You guys know what Pat fans think. Your coach knows the study habits of both Brady and Manning. He also knows what would happen in alternate realities.

    You folks are extremely gifted.

  117. @andyprough

Funny how you quote Brady’s SB stats to only show how short his TD passes have been, and leave out the great throws he made to get his team in scoring position, yet you quote non-TD throws that Brdshaw made for comparison.

I don’t have the time to research every throw Brady has made in his four Super Bowls to point out how many similar non-scoring long passes Brady has made compared to Bradshaw, or to double check the length of the TD passes he’s thrown in all four of his Super Bowls. All I know is he’s made some great passes – long AND short – to win more Super Bowls than almost any other QB’s in NFL history.

Funny how the Jets and their fans only want to trash a guy who has won three out of four Super Bowls. Maybe they’re bitter because it’s been over 4o years between Super Bowls for their team?

  119. @ andyprough,
Yes. If it isn’t so impossible, why haven’t the Jets did it yet? Last time I checked, both 14 and 15 imply that those teams lost at least one game that year, doesn’t it?

Brady is a great QB. I will concede that he is a so-called “system” QB; whatever that means. You know what? Montana was a system QB and I think he is the greatest of all time; at least of my time. Favre is a system QB. Troy Aikman was a system QB.

For all the talk of Elway’s arm, he needed a running game to finally win a SB. Why don’t you go to NetFlix and look for that SB in which the Broncos beat the Packers. That running game won that SB. Not Elway’s arm. MMkay?

If I were a Jets fan, I would worry less about how Brady will be ranked and more about why Sanchez can’t seem get his team in the end zone at Gillette. The Jets will need to score on Sunday.

  120. the notion that the past is the past and won’t have any bearing on the next game is truly ridiculous. The past is what allows these teams to become so familiar with each other. It was only a month or so ago (Dec, 6th) where Brady threw for the following statline against a so-called top defense Jets D:
    21/29, 72% compltn rate, 326 yards, 4 TD’s and O INT’s,

meanwhile, on the other side of the field, Sanchez threw for:
    17/33, 164 yds, 51% compltn rate, O Td’s and 3 INT’s.
Shutdown Corner? don’t think so, neither one of them.

looking at this from a competely objective Point of View, that didn’t know who the 2 teams were, but saw these numbers, and realized that these numbers came from a game less than 1.5 months ago, they would think this were a Pro team playing a college team.

this is almost an unfair fight. If the pats don’t win going away, it will be the biggest upset in a long long time

    +++++++++++++++++++

I’m not even going to try to correct your ridiculous abuse of the English language, “4eva”. However, I will point out that last year Peyton Manning could have easily taken the Colts to 16-0, but unlike Belichick, his coach’s ego did not require it. And that was not the first time the Colts tanked the last 2 or 3 games of a season this decade once they had wrapped up home field advantage.

Regardless – I am not arguing the validity or importance of a 16-0 run. I am simply stating that Tom Brady has never thrown a TD pass in a Super Bowl longer than 8 yards, has never won a Super Bowl with his arm, and has only won Super Bowls during seasons in which his team and coach admitted to cheating. He is no Terry Bradshaw, Joe Montana, Troy Aikman, or John Elway. In fact, he is three missed field goals from being Jim Kelly.

  124. Prough is an irrational moron when it comes to the Pats. He roots for a Qb who has ONE td pass total in two SBs and one of the WORST ratings EVER in a SB who has had better defenses & run games to back him than Brady has had most of his career and he is chirping away about Brady being some meh QB lacking dazzling TDs LOL

  125. @CKL – did I say that Roethlisberger was a great Super Bowl qb? No – I feel lucky when they win despite Roethlisberger in a lot of cases

But, at least Roethlisberger has one Super Bowl throw that makes it to the NFL Super Bowl highlight videos. Brady’s only all-time Super Bowl highlight play is Jay Alford blitzing up the middle and destroying Hochstein and then throwing Brady back 3 yards like a rag doll

  126. If every one of you Brady haters were honest you’d admit in a second that you’d trade your sorry-ass quarterback him on your team (Colts fans excluded; I like Brady better, but you can make a case for Manning).

Oh come now. An anonymous commenter on a sports website is going to correct someone’s English? Please. An anonymous poster who incorrectly uses the word “easily”.

Fine. Brady has never walked on water, has never parted the Red Sea, has never turned water into wine, he didn’t resurrect after 3 days in the earth, etc etc. If you like, we could go on and on about what a failure Brady has been as a person and a QB. What does that have to do with Sanchez’s inability to get into the end zone at Gillette?

Do you concede that John Elway didn’t win a SB with his arm?

That Jim Kelly comment is just nonsensical . Jim Kelly deserves a lot more respect than what you have shown him. How great was Broadway Joe? He must have been the best QB to ever live. You guys haven’t gotten to the SB since.

  129. Let’s try this again…

I’m confused why the length of QB throws in a SB & the number of SB highlights a QB gets should negate the fact that he still has the SB rings?

Given the Patriots success in the last decade, what the Jets are doing under Rex Ryan is truly remarkable: actually rallying much of the nation behind the Patriots and against the Jets.

Comments like these just make me that much more confident that Sunday will be another whitewash.

    —————————————————

Actually, most of the nation just wish both teams would just go away and never return. It was much better when they were below average stepping stones during the regular season, and spectators during the playoffs.

Your right though, the more the Jets flap their gums, the funnier it’s going to be when Brady whips the playing field clean with them. Still, I would rather the Jets win. That way we get one more week of entertainment out of them before the Ravens kick their ass and go to the Super Bowl. (that right Steelers fans, I said Ravens. Your team isn’t liked very much anymore either.)

  131. Whats worse than talking trash to the best QB in the league and then he goes right at you and destroys you with a 60 yard bomb?

When that same QB jogs over to you with his hands in his handwarmer pouch, flowing locks out of his helmet and tells you how much of a douche you are for opening your mouth.

The patriots are classless? the only time they have tried to make other teams look bad is when that other team tries to do the same to them. (i.e.: chargers doing the “lights out” dance in the playoffs.)
(i.e. jets saying theyre coming to foxboro to beat the crap out of the pats and then lose 45-3)

What do you expect the pats to do after destroying you? act like u didnt talk junk? NO, theyre going to let you know never to do that again, the jets didnt learn though.

Go Pats, Tommy is the best.

    Jetz 10

  134. @Andyprough

You answered your own questions about how good TB is, the reason he has no TD throw longer than whetever yards you put up there is bcos he is never in that desperate position that he has to throw over 50 yards to get first down or TD.

He is always in control in terms of Field position.
have a good day. Go PAts

  135. UMMMmmmm….reel deel – Tom Brady is a lot of things BUT he can NEVER be confused as an athlete. He is one of the most one dimensional players in the history of the league !
To call him an athlete is like saying throwing darts or playing pool are athletic activities !

The guy was born with two left feet ! He can barely walk, let alone run ! He probably runs a 40 yard dash in 10 seconds !

I know the league wants to preserve the status quo of the model qb/ pocket passer. But with the onset of 250 lb linebackers and 300 lb linemen that can run the 40 at sprinter speeds, future qb’s must possess mobility. Or someone is going to get seriously hurt, standing in the pocket like a statue.

Additionally, it adds an extra dimension to an offense if the defense has to prepare to protect against the mobility of the qb ( Rogers, Roethlisberger, Sanchez, Romo, Young and of course Vick ).

I am glad to hear players calling a spade a spade and stop with all the politically correct garbage. If a player is dirty or is a jerk, that likes to make little snide comments, when you kick his butt…rub his nose in it a little!

    Its sports…..not politics !

  136. Its about heroes and “anti-heroes”

The only salvation is personality. Rex Ryan and the Jets are the best thing that has happened to the league this year. There have been several anti-heroes; Joe Namath , Jim McMahon, Terrell Owens, Deion Sanders, Ray Lewis. It polarizes fans but INVOLVES fans. They give rise to blogs, replies and “most commented”.

Good game the Jets played and hopefully, in continues v. Bltizburgh.
