Cornerback Marcus Trufant was taken off the field Sunday afternoon in the third quarter after taking a knee to the head.

Trufant was the second Seahawks starter to leave the field on a stretcher with a head injury, following tight end John Carlson. Former NFL VP of Officiating Mike Pereira came o the FOX broadcast to talk about the league possibly mandating knee and tight pads in the future to help the cushion the blow in similar circumstances.

Trufant has a head injury and will not return. He had feeling in all his extremities.

Soon after Trufant left, Jay Cutler rushed for his second touchdown of the game to make the score 28-0. The Seahawks have since added a field goal.

It looks like we’re going to get the first Bears-Packers playoff game in, oh, 70 years. Sweet.
