The approaching of the end of the NFL postseason is always a little bittersweet, because we know we’re getting ready for several months without football. For those who want to see every last minute of football they can before a long (potentially very long) offseason, NFL Network is featuring the East-West Shrine Game today.
In the East-West Shrine Game pregame show, NFL Network’s Mike Mayock identified Syracuse running back Delone Carter as his player to watch.
“He’s got a big old bubble butt,” Mayock said. “He’s real strong from the waist down. He breaks tackles.”
NFL Network’s Charles Davis said to keep an eye on Georgia linebacker Akeem Dent.
“He’s a mike linebacker who’s going to play more than tackle to tackle, strong at the point of attack, and he enjoyed a really nice last year at Georgia,” Davis said.
Kickoff of the East-West Shrine Game is about 15 minutes away, at 4 p.m. Eastern. Enjoy all the live football you can, while you can.
UPDATE: Well, that was good timing: Carter ran for a 16-yard touchdown on the East team’s first offensive play.
