Entering Sunday, Bears free safety Chris Harris’ status for the NFC Championship Game was questionable due to a hip injury. Reports Sunday morning had Harris dealing with a torn muscle in the hip, and in need of a painkilling injection to handle the discomfort.

Harris took the shot and is officially active for the game. He is expected to start, although word in the Soldier Field press box is that rookie Major Wright could play a more prominent role than usual.

Tight end Desmond Clark is also active, indicating that the Bears may go with more of a run-heavy offense on Sunday. Devin Aromashodu is the biggest name inactive against Green Bay.

Joining Aromashodu in street clothes for Chicago: Cornerback Joshua Moore, safety Craig Steltz, running back Kahlil Bell, offensive linemen Herman Johnson and Edwin Williams, and defensive tackle Marcus Harrison.

Caleb Hanie is the Bears’ third quarterback.

Inactive for the Pack: Cornerback Patrick Lee, defensive end Jarius Wynn, cornerback Josh Gordy, offensive linemen Evan Dietrich-Smith and Nick McDonald, running back Dimitri Nance, and linebacker Frank Zombo.

Graham Harris is the Packers’ No. 3 quarterback.
