The story of the day has come from the Bears-Packers game, and more specifically the failure of Chicago quarterback Jay Cutler to finish it.

Among his defenders on Monday was Bears G.M. Jerry Angelo, who called out those players who called out Cutler for not playing with a knee injury.

“I think it’s crap,’' Angelo said, per Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times. ''I thought they were a union. If that’s the way they unionize, they’ve got bigger issues than the ones they have with the owners. I’m very disappointed. That to me is dirty pool.”

Angelo wasn’t finished. ''I certainly didn’t like what was said,” Angelo said. “And I take that personally, too. He’s our quarterback. We wouldn’t have been where we are without him. I want to make that clear. We stand by him. Nobody’s perfect. His play isn’t perfect. He’s not perfect. There’s not a person in this room or in this league that is, either. ''

Angelo makes a valid point. Though the players stand together when it comes to facing down the owners, unity has its limits when games are being played.
