Recently, CBSSports.com posted a list of the players who will be attending the medical re-check in Indianapolis. One of the players who supposedly will make the trek to Indianapolis is Florida State quarterback Christian Ponder.
Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Ponder has not been asked to return for the medical re-check.
Players who return to the site of the Scouting Combine for further evaluation have health issues that justify a closer look before the draft. Ponder suffered a separated shoulder in 2009, and an elbow injury in 2010.
The fact that he won’t be going back to Indianapolis means that doctors felt no need to take a closer look at Ponder, who participated in the Scouting Combine and at his Pro Day workout.
