Browns have a two-player wish list with pick No. 6

A.J. Green Pic

The Cleveland Browns will sit through the first five picks of the NFL draft keeping their fingers crossed that they don’t hear the names of their two favorite players called.

Browns General Manager Tom Heckert told the Akron Beacon Journal that his wish list with the Browns’ first-round pick in this week’s NFL draft, the sixth pick overall, contains only two players, and if neither of those two players is available when the Browns are on the clock, they’ll try to trade down.

Unless just about every mock draft we’ve seen is wrong (and that’s possible), one of those two players is George wide receiver A.J. Green. Almost everyone agrees that Green would do wonders for quarterback Colt McCoy and would be a good pick at No. 6.

The other name on the Browns’ two-man wish list is probably a defensive player, maybe Alabama defensive tackle Marcell Dareus or North Carolina linebacker Robert Quinn. But whoever is on the wish list, those are the two names the Browns will hope not to hear before their own pick comes up.
