Fujita tells Browns to plan to report for work

FILE - In this file photo taken Nov. 7, 2010, Cleveland Browns linebacker Scott Fujita (99) stops New England Patriots running back Danny Woodhead in an NFL football game in Cleveland. Fujita is an executive board member in the NFLPA. Football labor negotiations with the NFL involving a federal mediator broke off March 11, 2011, without an agreement. NFL players have been warned for years about the need to save and the importance of budgeting their money in case of a work stoppage. Well, the lockout is here. All the players have taken a bit of a financial hit already because of the lockout: NFL teams no longer are paying for their health insurance. (AP Photo/Tony Dejak, File)

As Rosenthal pointed out while I was working off some of the Easter candy, different players from different teams will be handling the court order ending the lockout, well, differently.

In Cleveland, where NFLPA* Executive Committee member Scott Fujita plays linebacker, Fujita informed the players plan to show up for work, according to Will Burge of ESPN Cleveland.

Fujita told Burge that players will report for duty, unless and until Judge Susan Nelson stays her order lifting the lockout. Receiver Josh Cribbs and tight end Benjamin Watson, among others, are expected to report for duty.

Fujita believes that teams failing to give players access to their facilities will be in violation of the court order.

UPDATE: Fujita personally won’t be appearing at the facility on Tuesday. He’s not in town.
