We aren’t in the habit of posting other people’s mock drafts on PFT, but Rick “Goose” Gosselin isn’t any mock drafter. The longtime Dallas Morning News reporter routinely puts out the most well-researched and accurate mock drafts in the business.

That’s why his mock drafts are read around the league, and some of his predictions for Thursday’s unpredictable first round will make some waves across the league.

Gosselin thinks the quarterback frenzy will take place early in the round, rather than teams choosing to trade back into the first round. He predicts five quarterbacks off the board in the top 12 picks.

Blaine Gabbert falls to No. 7 to the 49ers in the mock, and then it really gets interesting. Gosselin has Jake Locker going No. 8 to the Titans, Christian Ponder being taken at No. 10 to Washington, and Andy Dalton going No. 12 to the Vikings.

That would be a run on quarterbacks unlike anything we’ve ever seen. And more and more folks are starting to believe it will happen.
