After North Carolina’s football program suffered through a lost season due to rampant eligibility issues arising from players who received benefits, another Tar Heel may have jeopardized his own eligibility by attending a post-draft party for two of the players who were affected last year.

According to Joe Schad of ESPN.com, via our sister site CFT, the NCAA has met with UNC defensive end Quinton Coples regarding his presence at a D.C. event thrown by or for former North Carolina defensive linemen Robert Quinn and Marvin Austin.

As John Taylor of CFT points out, Austin’s presence at a Miami party triggered the investigation that wrecked North Carolina’s 2010 season.
