Vikings defensive end Ray Edwards says he’d rather be a boxer than a player for the Vikings, so it’s no surprise that he’s planning to box again.

Edwards, who won his pro boxing debut last month, will fight Larry Butler on June 24, the Star Tribune reports.

Butler is, like Edwards, 1-0 in his boxing career -- he won his own boxing debut on the same fight card on which Edwards won his debut.

Just as in his first match, Edwards will be fighting a much smaller opponent: Butler weighs 216 pounds, 42 pounds less than Edwards.
