PFT gets a daily email regarding the UFL’s transactions. And since there’s a name we recognize on Thursday’s list, we may as well do a post on it. (Not much else going on.)

The Omaha Nighthawks have removed B.C. linebacker Mark Herzlich from their “reserve-unsigned” list on Thursday after failing to convince Herzlich to give the UFL a shot. Instead, Herzlich wants to be the “top pick” among undrafted free agents in the NFL.

The Nighthawks similarly dropped players like Darnell Bing, Ryan Moats, Devard Darling, Jermaine Phillips, Cato June, and Jeb Putzier, all of whom have played in the NFL.
