Though the August 7 Hall of Fame game is hanging in the balance, it remains a given that the Hall of Fame induction ceremony will happen on August 6.

And with seven new members due to be inducted, each will be presented by a person of his choice.

Per Albert Breer of NFL Network, the Hall of Fame has announced the seven folks who’ll present the 2011 class of Hall of Famers.

Shannon Sharpe will be presented by his brother, Sterling. Richard Dent has selected his college coach, Joe Gilliam. Steve Sabol will present Ed Sabol. Deion Sanders will be presented by agent Eugene Parker. Agent Rocky Arceneaux will present Marshall Faulk.

Finally, Chris Hanburger will be presented by his son, Chris. Les Richter will be presented by his son, John.

In past years, the presenters had the ability to stand at the podium, and to talk for pretty much as long as they wanted (like, say, the guy in the photo . . . on the right). Last year, the Hall of Fame switched to taped features, which helped cut down on the total time of the ceremony.
