Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will get married tomorrow. Making the festivities potentially more interesting could be the presence of linebacker James Harrison.
Per Jason La Canfora of NFL Network, several Steelers are under the impression that Harrison will attend.
In a Men’s Journal interview, Harrison criticized Roethlisberger for his performance during Super Bowl XLV.
Hey, at least throw a pick on their side of the field instead of asking the D to bail you out again,” Harrison said. “Or hand the ball off and stop trying to act like Peyton Manning. You ain’t that and you know it, man; you just get paid like he does.” The remarks dominated the news cycle for a couple of days.
La Canfora reports that various members of the Steelers organization, including ownership, front-office employees, and coach Mike Tomlin, received permission to attend the nuptials notwithstanding the still-ongoing lockout.
