The Jaguars are the latest team to announce their crop of undrafted rookie free agents.

They signed 24 players, bringing their roster up to 84 players at the moment. With five draftees to sign, free agents like punter Adam Podlesh they would like to bring back and the need to add players to their defense, you can figure that a few of these players are due for short stays on the Jaguars roster.

The newly signed Jaguars are WR Armon Binns, OT Cameron Bradfield, CB Cole Brodie, LB JoJo Dickson, WR Greg Ellingson, S Matt Estrada, TE Tommy Gallarda, LB Eric Gordon, G Brandon Harper, RB DuJuan Harris, CB T.J. Heath, WR Dontrelle Inman, CB Jalil Johnson, LB Michael Lockley, LB Scott Lutrus, TE Kyle Miller, RB Richard Murphy, WR Jamar Newsome, DE Odrick Ray, QB Scott Riddle, CB Kevin Rutland, P Brian Saunders, DE Marc Schiechl and G Troy White.

The Jaguars figure to have openings on the depth chart at receiver after Mike Thomas which could bode well for Binns. He was All-Big East in 2010 after catching 75 passes for 1,101 yards and 10 scores for the University of Cincinnati and gained a reputation as being a big receiver who was skilled at grabbing balls out of the air. Shades of Ernest Wilford, perhaps?

Binns and the rest of the rookies will take physicals and, assuming they pass, join the rest of their new teammates when the Jaguars open training camp at team headquarters on Wednesday.
