Santana Moss stays in Washington

Santana Moss Pic

Santana Moss will return to the Redskins.

Adam Schefter of ESPN had the first report, and PFT has separately confirmed, that Moss has reached an agreement with the Redskins on a three-year deal worth $15 million and $6 million guaranteed, including a $5 million signing bonus.

Although several reports had suggested Moss would be playing elsewhere in 2011, he has consistently made it clear that he wanted to stay with the Redskins, saying on PFT Live in February that that’s his preference.

The 32-year-old Moss started all 16 games for the Redskins last season and led the team with 93 catches for 1,115 yards and six touchdowns.

It will be interesting to see whether the Redskins follow through on their plans to make a big play for free agent receiver Santonio Holmes now that they have their No. 1 receiver back in the fold.
