We haven’t seen that many 2011 draft picks signed to contracts yet, but they are starting to trickle in.

To little surprise, the Bears are one of the first to get deals done. The team sent out a release Wednesday announcing that they signed quarterback Nathan Enderle and linebacker J.T. Thomas to four-year contracts.

Enderle was a fifth-round pick, the 160th overall, out of Idaho. He put up impressive numbers as a four-year college starter, but wasn’t seen as having enough arm strength leading up to draft day. He is ticketed for the number three job in Chicago behind Jay Cutler and Caleb Hanie.

Thomas was the team’s sixth-round pick after playing his college ball in front of Florio with the West Virginia University. He gained some fame in May when he stepped in as the prom date for a 14-year-old girl in a wheelchair. That act will probably have some not Bears and Mountaineers fans rooting for Thomas this season.
