Free agent wide receiver Braylon Edwards hasn’t had a great Wednesday. He found out Santonio Holmes got the big bucks in New York, and had a court date in Cleveland.

Edwards was sentenced to a year of active probation and 100 hours of community service. That would seem to be a good result considering he could have gone to jail for violating probation, but apparently Edwards wasn’t pleased with the development.

“They’re not too happy about it,” a Cleveland municipal court spokesman said. “I think they wanted him to walk.”

Edwards can serve his punishment remotely, although he has to check in with a parole office once a month.
