It’s really hard to imagine Lance Moore playing for a team other than the Saints. And it looks like we won’t have to imagine that for a while longer.
The wide receiver broke the news himself via Twitter:
“Welp, its been real New Orleans . . . But let’s make the next five years even more real. I’m coming back baby!!! #whodat,” Moore wrote.
Moore is a Drew Brees favorite. As Jeff Duncan of the New Orleans Times-Picayune points out, Brees usually gets what he wants when it comes to the Saints offense.
With Robert Meachem and Marques Colston entering the final years of their respective contracts, getting Moore signed long-term was a priority. It is telling Moore was the first of New Orleans’ 26 free agents to be brought back.
