Defensive tackle Barry Cofield has been waiting to become a free agent for a long time.
He finally got his freedom on Tuesday, and found the right team interested in his services. Josina Anderson of FOX31 in Denver reports that Cofield and the Redskins have agreed to terms on a new contract.
Cofield will help to fill the Haynesworth-sized hole in the middle of Washington’s defensive line. Don’t be surprised if the Redskins still aggressively pursue other linemen, like Cullen Jenkins.
